Academic Absorption Team

Whether you are a candidate or have already joined us as faculty, we – the academic absorption team – will accompany your absorption process at the Technion. Our team encompasses a group of senior Technion officials directly involved in your absorption process, as well as Faculty-based staff. We begin accompanying your absorption process upon the receipt of your letter of appointment, or shortly after. Our mission is to ensure an optimal and efficient absorption process that will enable you to succeed and prosper at the Technion.

Oded
Prof. Oded Rabinovitch, Senior Executive Vice President (SVPR), Chairman of the Academic Absorption Committee of New Faculty Members.
Anath
Prof. Anath Fischer, Deputy Senior Vice President (DSVP), who serves as a one-stop contact person in all matters concerning the absorption process. Your Dean will work with the Deputy Senior Vice President and you will work with the Dean.

Director of Technology
Dr. Edith Suss Toby, Office of Senior Vice President. Edith's role is to help you translate your research vision into a defined technological array, detailed in your equipment budget request.
Michal
Construction Projector Coordinator
Michal Keter, programmer and construction projector coordinator, Office of the Senior Vice President. Michal's role is to help you translate your lab research vision into a clear specification of requirements (programme) for the purpose of establishing the laboratory.
Doron
Construction Liaison
Doron Tenenbaum. Consulting engineer, construction liaison, Office of the Senior Vice President. Doron ensures compatibility between the program and the detailed design (programme) for the purpose of establishing the laboratory.
Assaf
Head of Laboratory Department
Assaf Raz, Engineer, Head of Laboratory Department, Construction and Maintenance Division.

The first to contact you

Faculty Dean
The Dean of the Faculty is the key person in your relationship with the Technion management throughout the absorption process and in general. Most, if not all, of your contacts will be in conjunction with your dean.
Director of Technology
Edith's role is to help you translate your research vision into a defined technological array, detailed in your equipment budget request. Edith will contact you at a very early stage of the absorption process and assist you in building your equipment budget request.
Construction Project Coordinator
Michal's role is to help you translate your lab research vision into a clear specification of requirements (programme) for the purpose of establishing the laboratory. Michal will also contact you at a very early stage and help you formulate the construction needs for your new laboratory.

Here’s how we work

The following pages detail our work procedures during the academic absorption process. In our experience, the answers to many of your questions can be found in the FAQ section. If you have not found an answer to your question, you are welcome to seek help with your faculty staff and, of course, with us.
